Casting: In Glasgow

Production dates: (e.g. shoot, rehearsals) Shoots - Oct 24^th 2011 for 8 weeks in Scotland, then 2 weeks studio in London. You would NOT be needed for this whole period.

Reputable team previously involved in ‘Sexy Beast’, ‘Birth’ (Nicole Kidman), and current cinema release ‘Attack the Block’.

SWIMMER (SCANDINAVIAN)

He should be male, 22-35, HE MUST BE GENUINE (not second generation or just proficient at an accent) Scandinavian, German, Finnish or Icelandic.

The character is living in a tent on a beach on the coast of Scotland for a bit. He might be a backpacker who has stopped up for a week, month, year - we never find out. He must look at home with that lifestyle i.e. a healthy, outdoors type of person. He has a quiet intensity to him. He should be fearless, and it would be instinctive to him to run into the sea if someone were to get into trouble in the water.

Extreme swimmers/surfers would be ideal for this role.

YOUNG DAD AND YOUNG MUM

Both aged 27-35. Can be any ethnicity and accent. They are a couple on the beach with their toddler and dog. BOTH MUST BE STRONG SWIMMERS.

N.B. For ALL of these part you really MUST be an excellent swimmer, as filming will involve running into/and swimming in choppy seas off the coast of Scotland, and repetition of action for the purposes of doing several takes will mean it will be tiring.

NO ACTING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE ROLES.

We are just looking for enthusiastic and committed people, who’d like to try this out. This is PAID work.

X Games 17: Real Street

The real street event has returned for 2011 which is the same as christmas for skate vid fans as 16 pro's have uploaded their efforts for you to judge. Be sure to watch all the videos and vote for your fan favorite at the ESPN Real Street Page. Videos will advance through the bracket system based on your votes. Fan favorite will win $10,000 while the favorite video decided by the judges will be awarded $50,000 and an X Games gold medal. The top four judges' picks will also be invited to Los Angeles during X Games 17 to compete in a Game of S.K.8.

Innovative big wave surfing wetsuit from Billabong

Shane Dorian, legendary big wave surfer, had a near death experience back in 2010 at Mavericks which could have put him out of the game if it wasn't for his latest invention which has allowed him to face the 50+ft waves again.

Working together with Billabong Wetsuits and Mustang Survival Corporation, Dorian created the first wetsuit with a built-in instantly inflatable air bladder. With a quick tug on a ripcord, the wetsuit quickly lifts the wearer from deep underwater to the surface.

The revolutionary suit has been dubbed the “Billabong V1” with the V standing for Vertical ascent and the 1 indicating positive altitude, or one foot above sea level.
